Biography
Matt Whelihan began teaching at Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 2010. Since 2014, he has served as the chair of the English department. In addition, he is a Faculty Athletic Mentor for Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s cross country and track and field teams.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Communications from Fordham University, a master’s degree in English from Villanova University, and a doctoral degree in Education Policy, Organization & Leadership from the University of Illinois. Prior to joining Â鶹ÊÓƵ, he worked as a freelance journalist, marketing copywriter, and high school English teacher. His journalism and fiction work can be found in publications such as The Carolina Quarterly, Slice, Hobart, Meridian, Cleveland Scene, The Free Times, and Miracle Monocle.
