When I started attending WilmU, I saw a lot of people just like me and a lot of other women in the same situation trying to overcome the same barriers and obstacles.
I felt like I was a part of a family. There was camaraderie amongst the students and professors. Everyone had a good relationship with each other.”

Before I officially transferred to WilmU, seeing the other students from Â鶹ÊÓƵ at [a gaming event] so passionate, so friendly, so willing to help me, who was learning for the first time [how to make a game], was delightful.
It really helped show me that I was in a good place, and as I went to my classes and started making games myself, I realized I was in the right place.”

My time at Â鶹ÊÓƵ was a great experience. We had very interesting discussions during lectures, and outside of lectures, I made friends. I went to different campuses during my studies, and I was very comfortable in all of the environments.
I always wanted to get an education in the United States. I knew if I ever had to go back to my country, I could use my education and knowledge to do something good.”

One of the things that I really enjoyed was the diversity of the individuals that attend Â鶹ÊÓƵ in any given class. There were so many people from so many different walks of life, so many different socioeconomic backgrounds.
We got to see whatever topic we were studying from so many different perspectives, and I learned so much not just from the instructors in my classes but from my classmates as well."
