Biography

Dr. Fletcher is a full-time assistant professor in the DNP Program within the College of Health Professions at Â鶹ÊÓƵ. She teaches DNP core and project courses and serves as a DNP project advisor and DNP academic experiential engagement faculty advisor and mentor. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing and MSN in Health Promotion from Wesley College in Dover, DE. She has a Doctorate in Education in Organizational Leadership and Innovation from Â鶹ÊÓƵ. Her dissertation was “The Impact of a Hospital Readmission Prevention Team on Hospital Readmission Rates.” She is also certified as an Accredited Case Manager (ACM).

Her professional experience has been in the Emergency and Care Management Departments in staff and leadership positions. She has vast experience with quality improvement, utilization review/management, discharge planning, and care transitions. She is an active member of the American Case Management Association (ACMA) Maryland Chapter and serves as secretary for the ACMA Maryland (MD) Chapter board of directors. She is co-chair of the ACMA MD Chapter annual conference planning and is co-chair of the ACMA MD chapter education committee. She is also a member of the National ACMA, Sigma Theta Tau International Omicron Gamma chapter, American Nurses Association, and Delaware Nurses Association.

She has completed Â鶹ÊÓƵ’s Pathways to Instructional Excellence and has been a presenter at national and local conferences. She is a member of the Delaware Nursing Research conference committee and abstract review committee. She is a abstract reviewer for Sigma Theta Tau International Biennial Conventions and a reviewer for the Journal of Doctoral Nursing Practice.
